Expat as Deputy General Manager in the Philippines (f/m/x)

As Deputy General Manager you serve as the direct link between our newly-founded subsidiary in the Philippines and the HQ in Graz, Austria. You will be based in the Philippines and be involved in all business processes and actively contribute to our subsidiary's success by developing the subsidiary in all matters. 

Responsibilities:

  • Overall development of the organization 
  • Management of the business area Administration (Finance, Logistics, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Order Processing, HR, IT)
  • Planning and controlling of overall budget
  • Main Communication interface with our HQ in Graz, Austria
  • Implementation of the group-strategy and processes, ensuring high level of quality regarding all systems and processes
  • Establishment, implementation and further development of business processes and systems in coordination with the General Manager and the HQ
  • Hiring and Development of the employees
  • Monitoring of the financial operations, the cash flow situation, A/R collection and communication about intercompany settlement
  • Preparation of reports and analyses, coordination of annual costs and budget planning
  • Handling of legal matters in cooperation with our legal department
  • Sales - Effective management of existing customer accounts and the generation of new revenue through prospecting, lead/funnel follow up and effective territory management in a broad base of industries and applications

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a Technical or Commercial Field of studies
  • Experience in working in an international industrial company, preferably in the instrumentation/process industry
  • Excellent command of English and German
  • Analytical, accurate and result-oriented work approach
  • Experience in Sales in B2B 
  • High understanding of business processes, logical system thinking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cross-cultural competence (Sout-EastAsia experience will be a plus)
  • High IT-affinity, ideally (first) SAP-experience (modules MM, SD, FI) 
  • Very good project and process management skills
  • Profound knowledge of the Philippine market

This position is subject to the collective agreement governing employees in the metal sector. Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. For the vacant position it will usually be set within the following range (gross per month, excluding overtime): €3,000.00 to €4,000.00.
