Business Area Manager Competence Center Technology (f/m/x)  Österreich : Graz

Are you passionate about successfully planning, controlling or optimising processes and leading and developing people and organisations? Our Competence Centre Technology (CCT) supports the development of our measuring instruments by providing services and processes. As Business Area Manager CCT you report directly to the Division Manager and master our future challenges with strategic vision. In doing so, you will always keep an eye on product and service quality as well as planning targets and lead the team and processes to the next level of operational excellence.


  • Management of the R&D area "Competence Center Technology" with approx. 20 employees (Mechanical Design & Simulations, PMO, Product Safety & EMC Services, Electronic Design Services)
  • Technical and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of all employees
  • Optimisation of development processes for the entire company with regard to quality, costs and efficiency
  • Development and implementation of cross-departmental and cross-divisional improvement measures
  • Central interface between the development departments and the central R&D department
  • Project management of relevant organisational projects
  • Reporting to the management board and division management


  • Completed higher education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, industrial logistics, supply chain management or similar
  • Several years of professional experience in a management function
  • Ideally project management training and experience in leading projects (waterfall and agile methodologies)
  • Experience in designing and optimising processes
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Distinct entrepreneurial thinking
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Sound knowledge of common quality tools and methods
  • Analytical mindset and willingness to work hard

This position is subject to the collective agreement governing employees in the metal sector. Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. For the vacant position it will usually be set within the following range (gross per month, excluding overtime): €4.500,00 to €6.000,00.
