Department Manager in the field of R&D (f/m/x)  Austria : Graz

We are looking for an experienced leader to head one of our R&D departments. This position offers the opportunity to shape and drive development projects in an innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the R&D department with full responsibility over all development processes
  • Planning, organizing, executing, and completing technical development projects
  • Developing and implementing technical concepts
  • Leading and coordinating interdisciplinary teams from various departments
  • Close collaboration with product management and other departments to align product development

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree (FH/TU) in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telematics, or a comparable technical field
  • Experience in equipment manufacturing, ideally in measuring devices
  • Proven leadership experience in managing departments and teams
  • Extensive experience in leading technical projects
  • Familiarity with agile working methods
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong business acumen and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset

This position is subject to the collective agreement governing employees in the metal sector. Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. For the vacant position it will usually be set within the following range (gross per month, excluding overtime): €5,500.00 to €7,300.00.
