Software Test Engineer (f/m/x)  Austria : Graz || Austria : Graz und Wolfsberg || Austria : Wolfsberg

The expectations of our customers regarding the functionality and, in particular, the user interface of our laboratory measuring instruments are rightly very high. It is therefore all the more important that our devices function perfectly and that all possible combinations of user inputs are tested in advance. You are the first customer, so to speak, and ensure that all customers after you are also satisfied with the performance of our devices.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Active participation in interdisciplinary development projects
  • Setting up test setups for development
  • Further development and gradual expansion of existing manual and automated test environments
  • Responsibility for the setup and test room with the associated equipment
  • Collaboration in the creation of requirements with regard to testability in cooperation with system architects and requirements engineering
  • Independent creation of test runs for verification or validation of user and system requirements
  • Independent analysis of faulty behavior of the SW on interface level
     

Requirements:

  • Completed technical education (apprenticeship, HTL)
  • Experience in testing software components, ISQBT certification an advantage (https://www.istqb.org/)
  • Knowledge in data analysis
  • Programming experience with Python, Bash Scripting, or similar tools
  • Basic knowledge in C#, C++ advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Teamcity
  • Basic knowledge in electronics
  • Analytical and solution-oriented way of working as well as proactive and independent approach

This position is subject to the collective agreement governing employees in the metal sector. Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. For the vacant position it will usually be set within the following range (gross per month, excluding overtime): €2,500.00 to €3,200.00.
